How to speed up firefox

Lately Firefox, my browser of choice, was a bit slow so I asked if there was a way to improve the performance and I found a simple trick that does the job just fine. First, it is noted that all that is stored by the browser as history, cache, cookies and browsing experience slows down considerably and then board it often cleaning (In the English version of Firefox 3.5.2 for Mac under the Tools menu> Clear Recent History) . But let's get to the trick I mentioned at the beginning.
These enable pipelining, a feature of Firefox, native off, which allows you to make multiple requests for each page to load faster we go, and now, the loading of pages on broadband connections. The procedure consists of 4 steps rather simple, they still do not recommend you to follow if you are not familiar computer media:
1) Enter "about: config" into the address bar without the quotes, and press ENTER
2) will probably show a notice informing you of the danger of changing the register of Firefox, but you know what you're doing it? Then continue to the next screen.
3) In the search bar at the top of the new screen type "pipelining" and double-clicking on individual items set it as in the image below.

4) Do you like this enabled pipelining on Firefox but is still missing a detail, or set to zero the time the browser waits before interpreting the information it receives. For this we create a new entry, click anywhere on the screen with the right mouse button to select from the dropdown menu New> Integer. Call the new entry "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to zero "0".
Now restart your browser and try to load some pages that previously there had seemed slow. Noticed the difference?
